Bonneville Shores Recognition Night

I was honored and invited to display Scouting memorabilia for the Bonneville Shores District Recognition night in Kaysville.  What an amazing Recognition program they had.  With Mark Francis, the BSA-LDS liaison present with his wife dressed in Oscar del la Rente khaki dress uniform, what a fun time it was.
A Recognition meeting rather dinner was the evening.  Some great talks and awards were presented.  A very impressive night for those attending.

The north side had the early beginnings of Scouting with books and such.  Early Scout uniforms as well as Den Mother uniforms were behind the tables.  An Eagle medal and patch display at the far end was pretty cool.

Along the stage were flags and patch and picture displays.  Need more stands!

A 9th table just for LDS Scouting was also provided.

Along the south wall were senior Scouting uniforms and patches.

Towards the other end, the Varsity Scout uniform, a now historical program to be retired with the other Senior Scouting programs, such as Air Scouting, Explorer Scouting, etc.  Sad day.  To the very right, a Lone Scout display that was fairly impressive to many.

And patrol flags drapped across the stage.

LDS and other religious Scouting medals and the beginnings of the Explorer program with LDS Vanguard books.

100th anniversary of LDS Scouting was a highlight of the program by Mark's wife.

And a Bee Hive Girls book and bandlo for some of the lady and LDS folks.

And LDS 11-year-old Scouting as well as Explorer Scouts.

Eagle medal display.

Patrol flags, along with refreshments after the recognition program.  Cookies to die for, carrots/celery/olives, and popcorn.  What a fun treats to end the night.

And people were invited to come early and enjoy the memorabilia and many did as well as after the program.

A great friend who used to work with me, Dawn, was there with her District, who now works with Mark Francis at the BSA-LDS office downtown Salt Lake City.

As things were winding down, guests just finishing viewing the displays.  Was so busy talking to guests that I don't have any pictures of all the guests viewing the evening.  It was very crowded around the displays.  The meeting with until 8:30 and we started taking down at 9:15 and I was in my truck by 9:45 with great helpers packing and loading it all up.  What a great group of Scouters in the Bonneville Shores District.  Thanks for inviting me to share a little Scouting Heritage On Wheels (SHOW).
